The Challenge
The community had no piped water or sewer connection and depended on pit latrines and chemical toilets. Load shedding also made conventional grid-dependent systems unreliable.
The Solution
Triad helped deliver an off-grid system that treats blackwater and greywater on site, recycles water for flushing, and operates independently using solar power.
The Result
The system achieved 98% water recovery, provided more dignified sanitation, reduced dependence on external infrastructure, and created a local operational role within the community.
The Challenge
The property needed to reduce municipal water use, lower operating costs, support ESG objectives, and create greater resilience during water interruptions.
The Solution
Greywater from showers and basins is captured, treated, and reused for toilet flushing, irrigation, HVAC cooling, and cleaning.
The Result
The system recycles approximately 50 m³ of greywater every day, reducing municipal demand, limiting sewer discharge, and providing a dependable non-potable backup supply during outages.
